Women’s Economic Advancement and Leadership Skills Project (Project WEALS) started in 2009. The project aims to break down systemic barriers faced by women from diverse backgrounds who are survivors of violence and abuse including other forms of oppressions.

Project WEALS is fundamental in educating and providing women not only with the tools to eradicate violence in their lives but also with the skills for economic self-sufficiency, leadership skills and participation in democratic life in Canada. Topics covered under this project include:

  • Personal growth and life skills training
  • Leadership skills
  • Career workshop
  • Financial management and budgeting; and,
  • Business mentorshop
